Where I wander...

Literally and figuratively! I just got up from putting Storm to sleep. She still wants me to lay down with her until she's asleep, or darn near, and to be blunt, I find it a chore. Someday, I'm sure I will look back with fondness....but not now! Imagine if you will, lying in bed, at the edge of the mattress(my knees were not on the mattress). On your left side, facing out, knees slightly bent...relatively comfortable sounding, no? Yep. Except add in your right arm pulled back, lying on the kid, with her fingers entwined in yours. My shoulder aches, the muscles are twitching and this was a short night. She was asleep less than half an hour after getting in bed. I hope I don't have to go to college with her!!! I have to tell ya...Second Life is a dangerous place! I just can't get sucked in until I have a few days uninterrupted and get the housework in order before I sit down. This week is not that week. I'm off tomorrow to meet up with Mom near Syracuse, NY. Staying at a hotel with an indoor pool, and just hanging out. Its easier on both of us if I don't have to drive all the way to MI to visit. And she doesn't have to discover what Storm has 'investigated' while visiting! Heh. We come home on Friday, and since I'm only traveling about 250 miles, its a nice short trip for me. Yes, a four hour trip is short, because it isn't the(potentially) 17 hour trip to MI. Pardon my delusion, 'k? Good, we are on the same page. The girls and I went to a friend's one-year old's birthday party today. It was fun. Too much cake, with whipped cream frosting, and now I'm wishing I could go back and only have one piece. I know better, darn it. And Saturday's trip to McD's should have reminded me, since that was an exercise in indigestion. I don't eat out much at all, the whole not having cash thing curbs any urges I might have. My splurges consist of scraping together a couple of bucks for an iced coffee. In change, and if I'm lucky, most of it is silver!! The business is definitely not having any issues with selling pellets. Buck came home yesterday, and informed me that they sold about 46 ton(50 40# bags per ton) and that he'd loaded at least half of it 10 bags at a time. By hand. He was one achy guy, and today he took a loooong nap. The have an office set up, and its pretty much complete with new computers, shelves and whatnot. Buck is working on setting up a wireless network for everyone, so my MIL can work at home and not be as interrupted by customers. They are working on getting a new database established, and I know things are getting back to normal, Buck is complaining about my MIL freaking out again. I've noticed that since my surgery in January, I'm slowly becoming a much more normal human. I feel so much better, clearer, than I have in a long, long time. Stupid stuff, like being able to pick up after the kids, and Buck and not be angry about having to do it. Well, maybe not stupid, but definitely something I could not see until the fog lifted. I'm smoking less, and caffeine is not as big an issue, other than that first jolt in the morning. You know...can of C0ke, or cup of coffee...black tea...whatever the mood calls for, hehe. Well, I'm sitting here in the semi-dark kitchen, smiling at the colored lights on my new computer's fans and the glowing wire sleeves and I think I need to go play some games. Enjoy the evening, folks!
