Yarns, odds n ends
Shall I try this again? Twelve hours (almost) later? Yeah, I started to do this in the a.m., but was interrupted by Miss Storm wanting me to go get her friend for a play date. It would not have been a big deal, but she was trying to help and she...shut down the computer, heh. ::shrugs:: My own damn fault.
Anyhow, as I was saying earlier...yeah, not much going on! Getting ready for school to start (6 DAYS AND COUNTING), enjoying a cool August (although I know its not the norm and I'll be paying for it somehow), and playing with yarn. I did get to run away and be a grown-up for a bit on Friday; so nice to not have kids to discuss. This was Gwen's friend, they were commiserating about a shitty week; I joined them for one margarita. Gotta keep the wits, its a loooong drive home. Jenni is a very crafty type person, and so I took my doily, and my afghan, with me so I could show her. I was being a geek, and I took the pot with silk flowers, too. She loved it! I'm going to make a few for a craft show and see what happens. How geeky am I about this? Yeah, I'll be finding pots and silk flowers. Go me. I have a couple of photos at Flickr and this is the link. If you get to this shortly after I post, it might not quite be there, heh.
A friend of Storm's will be coming here for after school, so I'll be getting some cash that way, too. Its not a job, but it is better than no cash at all! Lucky me.
