Pre-party meme
A meme...for shits and giggles, in lieu of a real entry, cuz I'm preparing for a party on Saturday.
1. How old do you wish you were?
o I don’t wish for any particular age. I’m just glad I get more birthday presents, heh.
2. Where were you when 9/11 happened?
o Walking out of a job interview. Just finished a very early morning second interview, part of which was a tour of the warehouses. It was crisp, and the sky was that incredible fall blue.
3. What do you do when vending machines steal your money?
o Generally I note which machine ate my money, then go to our front desk at work and get my money back. (Opal, I’m with you.)
4. Do you consider yourself kind?
o Yes. Blessing or curse, too kind sometimes.
5. If you HAD to get a tattoo, where would it be?
o I have two, and will be getting one more, at the very least. I like ink. (aside to Blue Opal: a ‘ho stamp? Really? Heheh j/k. )
6. If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be?
o I speak a little Spanish and would like to up my fluency. Given the direction our country is taking, I'm not sure it is a "foreign" language any more, either. (Excellent and accurate answer…so I’m stealing it!)
7. Do you know your neighbors?
o I do; the one family near us!
8. What do you consider a vacation/holiday?
o Any time when I’m ‘not the mom’ will do nicely.
9. Do you follow your horoscope?
o Yes, but only to laugh when its incredibly WRONG. Which is regularly.
10. Are you touchy feely?
o Less than before, but more than most.
11. Do you believe that opposites attract?
o Sometimes they do, absolutely. (I am living proof!)
12. Dream job?
o I have what was my dream job – mom. For cash money? Something I could read and earn money at.
13. Favorite channel(s)?
o No one favorite. Some network, some basic cable, some digital cable.
14. Favorite place to go on weekends?
o Go? Away? What’s that?
15. Showers or Baths?
o Both, thank you. (I’m nothing if not a sensualist.)
16. Do you paint your nails?
o Yeah, most of the time
17. Do you trust people easily?
o To a certain point. I will trust people with material things, but trusting them with knowing my heart? HELL no. (Again with a ditto, Opal. But then, I’ve rarely trusted anyone with my true heart.)
18. What are your phobias?
o My phobias... Spiders. ::shudders::
19. Do you want kids?
o Already have 2.5. That's not an error.
20. Do you keep a handwritten journal?
o Never. Oh wait, I had one I updated annually for a while. I hate writing.
21. Where would you rather be right now?
o At the beach, in Maine. With 5 days of no kids, and lots of books. Oh, and money to eat out if I wanted, or cook if I so desired. (Best friend would be nice…cuz I share well, heh.
22. Heavy or light sleeper?
o Sometimes light, sometimes heavy.
23. Are you paranoid?
o No. I know truly paranoid people…I’m cautious, at best!
24. Are you impatient?
o I am usually pretty patient about most things. There are options that will make me nuts to wait for.
25. Who can you relate to?
o I have to agree with Shippy & Opal. I can relate at least somewhat to most people.
26. What's your main ringtone on your cell?
o When the Saints go Marching In, thanks to my 6 yr old. She dances to it for road trip entertainment. Its not all my genetics!
27. What were you doing at midnight last night?
o Just hitting the sheets.
28. What did the last text on your mobile phone say?
o Err…something short…it was a reply…

o My contacts, my cell.
30. How much money do you have on you?
o Money? What is this money you speak of?
31. What is your favorite part of the chicken?
o I prefer breast meat.
32. What's your favorite town/city?
o I could not tell you right now; I don’t think I’ve found it yet.
33. Who got you to start an online journal?
o I got one to help someone else learn how it worked. Beyond that, I don’t know.
34. What did you have for dinner last night?
o Impossibly Easy Chicken pit.
35. How tall are you barefoot?
o 5'10-1/2" according to my doctor's office.
36. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
o Coffee – iced or hot.
37. Do you have A.D.D.?
o Its unlikely.
38. Favorite place to be?
o York, Maine.
39. Where would you like to travel?
o Europe, the East West Coast of the US, and anywhere to visit my Diaryland friends!
40. Where do you think you'll be in 10 yrs?
o My youngest will be 16. In a rubber room perhaps?
41. What songs do you sing in the shower?
o I don't sing in the shower.
42. Worst injury you've ever had.
o Broken toe when I worked retail. Torn muscles in both thighs…same day.
43. What is your favorite candy?
o Milk Duds, Milky Way Dark, Snickers Dark, Hershey’s Special Dark….you get the idea. OH and a box of Russell Stover’s carmel, nuts, and chews…all to myself!
44. What song is stuck in your head?
o None, at the moment. And I send thanks to whoever takes care of that!
