January is a tough month no matter what
Hi...its been sick kids, more sick kids, hubby in pain and mom's surgery. And that's in the last 72 hours!
Storm got stomach flu Wednesday night, and when that was done she spiked a temp, so two days off from work. Friday was mom's surgery, shoulder, and she's fine. In less pain, so one less thing to worry about. Friday afternoon, Buck got in a head-on accident, not sure who will be faulted. Work Jeep is smashed, and Buck's foot is bruised, but less painful today. Possible wrist fracture. THEN Saturday morning, Cloud got the same thing Storm had. So yesterday was shopping/waiting/long freaking day. To top it all off? 2 am Storm comes down and empties her stomach on the area rug. Good thing I was throwing it away; bad thing - this a few months early.
Silver lining is Buck did go to the hospital Saturday and get checked out. Don't have to worry about what isn't known. He found out he has high blood pressure, but do you think he'll get it controlled? Unlikely. My theory of outliving him is still likely.
sidebar: as I'm typing this, he's hesitating to eat a bowl of C@mpb@ll's Chunky soup. Like avoiding it will help at this point? I guess I'll be re-adjusting the salt I use. I wonder if he'll finally drink caffeine free Coke? hmmm...heh
I have been hearing about all sorts of good yarn sales, but with weeks of short checks, I'm unable to take advantage. Good for the house, but sad for all the patterns I'm dying to try!
I would like a day to be uninterrupted. Any mom knows the feeling. I keep hoping for it to work that both kids are gone on a Friday night, and Buck has to work on Saturday. Hoping. :)
Off to...do some more laundry, and figure out a low-salt dinner. Yay for me!
