Winter blues, par for the month

The WeatherPixieGame Giveaway of the Day

So, hi, how goes it? I'm working on week three of a close to normal pay check, which means a bit less time here, or anywhere. I've FINISHED one afghan and will finish the other before the end of March.

I'm fighting guilt, too, because I have a postal pick-up every day, and I did NOT take advantage of it for gifts. Looks like the next few weeks will be used to send one at a time of the things I need to get out. Silly me.

I want a lump sum to do stuff with. I hate waiting; I just want the money in my hand and be able to DO it. I have patience for a lot of things; this isn't one of them.

I need to get new tires, and an alignment, so there goes $500. At least. It would be nice to get all my gift buying for birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc., in one fell swoop. It would be so much easier to get them, mark my calendar, and send 'em out early. Using the aforementioned daily postal pick-up, of course.

Have I mentioned how much I hate not seeing people to give them gifts?

Its damned cold today, but the warmer (relatively) days bring snow this week. I think I'll take the cold. Like rain, it doesn't have to be shoveled. Nor does it require more practice of the northern state's seasonal dance craze the 'Crab Walk'. If you've ever lived where ice on the ground is normal, you know this walk. If you have NOT, I'm sorry in general, but specifically, right now....I'd love to change places with you.

Off to play with yarn.
