Another scintillating entry...
Hi, its all life and no fun right now. Well, ok, fun is a relative term. Its not pure drudgery, but the only thing I have to look forward to is a crazy weekend. I was going to spend Easter with some friends, at home, but then my MIL called on Sunday and wanted to do the holiday/birthday thing instead. Soooo...instead of being sensible, merely cancelling the get-together with my friends, I had an insane moment and we are having them here on Saturday. And then Sunday, we will be going to NH for the fun and games of family dinner.
Oh, fine, I'll admit it won't be horrible. And it will include my in-law's good friends, and I love them. He is Danish, and she is Polish and they are just so much fun. I have yet to meet their son, but evidently they don't see much of him either. I'm reserving actual judgement, but the intial impression is the guy is kind of a snob. I know, it happens even to the nicest of people, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt until I meet him. Simply because his parents are so cool, I cannot imagine him to truly be he stand-offish oaf it can sound like he is.
I got new sneaks today. Payless, TYVM, for $10! Sorry, no pics these are clearance, and not on their site. Kinda like old school Addidas, white with blue accents. Very comfy. Will be good to walk in...on the next sunny day, which appears to be Friday. I'm hoping for a late clearing on Thursday, so I can walk after work. Cross your fingers, k?
Hmmm..well, yet another entry in my very mild life. OH, Cloud is 13, my now official teenager. She got a cellphone, thanks to her dad. The one who was soooo against it. Its a pay as you go, Verizon, and if she's good with it, he'll add her to our account. Yes, you know my cell carrier. If you find my number, text me. Its cheaper, at least for me, heh.
I de-lurked, finally at this young lady's place. And yes, this part is essentially just for her. I'm an over-40 mom, I live a very quiet life, and one would think, at face value, that you and I have darn little in common. And this could be true in depth, but...I love the way you write, and your life reminds me of when I was single and dating. Lots of dating. You are smart, and clever, and you like words used correctly. All things that make me smile. Which is why, when Andrew put the recent public entry feature here, I spent wayyyyy too much time reading bits of other diaries, when I could NOT, for the life of me remember more than the tag at the top of your diary, and that your D-land name had a number in it. To find you, and to find out what happened to Miles, I read lots of emo crap. Which makes me feel like a voyeur/stalker kinda gal, and I'm soooo not that. I'm just nosy, and I'll go to great lengths to assauge my burning curiosity.
Ok, now that I sound really bizarre....off to find more to read!
