Short and not-so-sweet
I'm in MI till Tuesday, SIL-to-be is having a shower 3/30/08 (later today! omg...bed is calling).
That's the short.
Not-so-sweet: my 90 yr old grandfather is at the hospital getting checked out. His right leg is not working. No signs of stroke, or disorientation, or anything really bad at the moment other than slight nausea and the leg bit. We got done with dinner out at Cracker Barrel, per Cloud's request, around 8pm, and Grandpa couldn't get standing, because his right leg would NOT move. The production required to get him out of the damn restaurant...oy...several employees, and one diner. I don't know exactly how it went down, I was getting the van....backed up to the door, per the manager's direction! They were all so sweet, and if for no other reason, CB gets a vote for good employees from me.
I haven't heard anything, and right now, no news is good news. I'm off to call the hospital, and see if I can find a relative to update me. If he's been seen yet. I'm sure y'all know the rep any given ER has, and I know the how/why of the SOP. Just doesn't make it any easier on us.
Off to ring up family. If you say 'em, prayers would be appreciated. eta 1:26am: Grandpa is ok! Bad UTI causing the problems, but going home now, and on lots of antibiotics. Yay for modern meds, AND for having a nurse-mom who makes sure the docs do ALLLLL the tests, just to be sure!
